8-Day Morocco Tour From Fes

Our journey begins with a departure from Fes at 8:30 am, heading toward Meknes. On the way, we will stop to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a remarkable archaeological site. Afterward, we continue to Meknes, a city surrounded by majestic walls and steeped in history.

One of the highlights of Meknes is the magnificent Bab Mansour, an intricately designed gateway. Following the visit, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we proceed to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will end the day with an overnight stay at your accommodation.

This day is dedicated to discovering the rich history and vibrant culture of Marrakech. Starting at the bustling Djemaa El Fna Square, you’ll experience the city’s lively atmosphere with its orange juice stands and dried fruit vendors.

The sightseeing tour includes visits to several landmarks such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, El Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Medersa (Quranic School), and the Saadian Tombs. After a full day of exploring, return to your accommodation for another night in Marrakech.

We depart from Marrakech at 8:30 am, heading toward Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we’ll visit the historic Telouet Kasbah, a site rich in history and architecture.

Our journey continues to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fascinating fortified village. After lunch near the kasbah, you’ll have time to explore its narrow alleyways and unique architecture. The day ends with an overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Our adventure resumes with a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate. From there, we drive through the picturesque Skoura oasis, renowned for its historic kasbahs, and continue to the Valley of Roses in M’gouna, where you can explore the locally made cosmetic products.

After a lunch break, we proceed toward the stunning Dades Gorges, making stops along the way to admire the breathtaking landscapes. The day concludes with an overnight stay in the Dades Gorge.

We start the day with a drive to Todgha Gorges, famous for their dramatic rock formations. After exploring the gorges, we continue through the towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud, stopping for lunch along the route.

The journey leads us to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Upon arrival at the desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset, followed by an evening under the stars in the serene desert. Overnight will be at the camp.

After breakfast and a shower, we leave Merzouga and travel toward Midelt. The route passes through Erfoud, known for its fossils, and the lush Ziz Valley, with its scenic palm groves. The journey continues to Midelt, a town located at the base of Ayachi Mountain, often referred to as the “apple capital” of Morocco.

We end the day with an overnight stay in Midelt.

Our final day takes us through the Tizi n’Talghemt Pass, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. We stop in Azrou to visit the famous Cedar Forest, home to the playful Barbary macaques. After lunch, we continue through the charming town of Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its European-style architecture.

By afternoon, we arrive in Fes, where your memorable 8-day journey concludes at your accommodation or the airport.
