Here is a list of the main highlights of the 6-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech:
Your journey begins as we meet you at the Port or Airport of Tangier. We then travel through the Rif Mountains, passing the scenic town of Tetouan, renowned for its Andalusian charm. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain landscape.
Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore this picturesque town known as the “Blue Pearl.” Its blue and white-washed streets, quaint shops, and vibrant squares offer a unique charm. Spend the night in a local Riad or Hotel.
After breakfast, we continue our journey through the Rif Mountains, passing picturesque villages before reaching Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This archaeological site boasts the best-preserved Roman ruins in northern Africa.
From Volubilis, we head to Meknes, where you’ll visit iconic sites such as Bab el-Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Tombs. After lunch, we travel to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a charming Riad located in the medina.
Today, a guided tour reveals the wonders of Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Explore its labyrinthine streets and discover landmarks such as the Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter, and Al Karaouine University, the oldest university in the world.
Other highlights include the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Spend the night in the medina, immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Fes.
Departing from Fes, we pass through Ifrane, a charming town often called “Morocco’s Little Switzerland.” Continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you’ll see wild Barbary macaques.
We journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Midelt, famous for its apples and fossils, for lunch. Driving through the scenic Ziz Valley and the desert town of Erfoud, we finally reach Merzouga, where you’ll stay in a local hotel near the sand dunes.
After breakfast, begin exploring the Merzouga area. Visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia, where you’ll experience traditional Gnawa music and learn about their culture. Then, meet nomadic Berber families still living in tents, and enjoy a local meal of Berber pizza.
In the afternoon, return to the hotel where your camel awaits. Guided by an experienced camelman, ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to a Berber camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music, and stargazing before spending the night in comfortable desert tents.
Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After a camel trek back to the village, enjoy breakfast and a refreshing shower.
We then journey through Rissani, Tinghir, and the spectacular Todgha Gorges, known for their towering red cliffs. After lunch in the gorge, we continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations called “monkey toes.” Spend the night in a traditional guesthouse with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, travel along the Dades Valley, part of the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Along the way, meet Berber nomads living in caves, visit the Rose Valley in Kalaa M’gouna, and stop at Kasbah Amridil in Skoura.
Arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” you’ll spend the afternoon exploring the city and its film studios. Overnight in a local Riad or Hotel.
In the morning, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic film location. From there, we travel through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in North Africa, offering stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains.
Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where you’ll settle into your accommodation.
Explore the vibrant city of Marrakech with a local guide. Visit historical and cultural landmarks, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the bustling Djemaa el Fna Square.
After lunch near the square, visit the serene Majorelle Garden and take a short tour of Gueliz, Marrakech’s modern district. Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
Depending on your flight schedule, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your departure. This concludes your incredible 10-day Moroccan adventure, leaving you with unforgettable memories.
