Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, making stops at the alpine town of Ifrane, often referred to as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and Azrou’s cedar forest, where you can see Barbary monkeys. Enjoy a lunch break in Midelt before continuing through Tiz Ntalghamt Pass, Ziz Gorge, and the panoramic Ziz Valley, offering stunning views of palm groves in the heart of the desert.

Arrive at Merzouga, where the dunes of Erg Chebbi emerge dramatically. Relax at a hotel with a pool on the dune line, enjoy dinner, and unwind for the night.

Start the day exploring the Merzouga area, visiting Khamlia, known as the “black village,” where you can enjoy traditional Gnawa music. Head to the Miffis Mines to learn about local mining practices, and then journey deeper into the desert, where you’ll meet Bedouins and enjoy tea while soaking in the mesmerizing desert views.

After lunch, embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset. Spend the night at a desert camp, enjoying a traditional dinner, mint tea, Berber music, and stargazing.

After breakfast and freshening up, journey to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, and continue to Tinghir to explore the stunning Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco.

Enjoy a hike along the gorge or relax by the river before having lunch in the heart of the gorge. Drive through the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes, and spend the night at a hotel perched on a mountain with panoramic views.

Day 4: Dades Valley » Rose Valley » Skoura » Ouarzazate [168 Km]

After breakfast, travel along the famous “Road of 1000 Kasbahs,” passing through Dades Valley and Rose Valley, renowned for its fragrant rose products. Visit Skoura’s lush palm groves and the historic Kasbahs along the way.
