On this 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech, we’ll travel through the Middle Atlas, visit Azrou, and reach Merzouga for a camel trek and night in a desert camp.

We’ll go on a 4×4 desert excursion to explore the Merzouga area, visit a Khamlia village, and see the Miffis Mines. We’ll continue to Todra Gorge and stay in the Dades Valley. On the final day, we’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou and cross the High Atlas Mountains, ending in Marrakech.

Day 1: Fes » Azrou » Midelt » Erfoud » Merzouga [467 Km]

Begin your adventure from Fes to Merzouga, traversing the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain ranges. Enjoy the scenic drive through Azrou, with its cedar forests and Barbary monkeys, and admire the stunning landscapes of Midelt at an altitude of 1,508 meters.

The journey continues through Tiz Ntalghamt Pass, Ziz Gorge, and the lush Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga, a charming desert town. Experience an exotic camel trek amidst the beautiful sand dunes and savor a spectacular sunset. Conclude the day with a bonfire and a traditional dinner under the starlit sky at your desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour & Camel Trek [45 Km]

After breakfast, explore the vibrant culture of Merzouga, starting with a visit to a local village inhabited by people originally from Mali. Enjoy their traditional music and lifestyle. Continue to the Miffis Mines to discover the unique mining practices of the region.

Experience the beauty of the desert with charming views and a relaxing tea session with local Bedouins before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Merzouga » Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley [255 Km]

Wake up early to witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, casting vivid colors across the desert. After breakfast and freshening up at your desert hotel, head towards Tinghir and visit the magnificent Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco.

Explore the gorge, relax by the river, or savor local Berber delicacies. After lunch, continue your journey through the picturesque Dades Valley and spend the night at a hotel perched on the mountain, enjoying panoramic views.

Day 4: Dades » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [325 Km]

On your final day, travel towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, following the old caravan route. Visit the historic Telouet Pasha Glaoui Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N-Tichka Pass.

Arrive in Marrakech by the evening (around 6–7 PM), where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, concluding your memorable desert tour.
