On this 2-day excursion, you’ll journey through the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane and Azrou. You’ll cross the Ziz Valley and Gorges, visiting towns like Midelt and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, where you’ll enjoy a camel ride to the desert camp for an overnight stay in the dunes.
On the second day, you’ll experience the sunrise over the dunes, then travel through the Tafilalet palm groves and the town of Rissani. We’ll Cross the Anti-Atlas mountains, visit Berber villages, and explore the Draa Valley.
After lunch in Ouarzazate, we’ll visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, before heading back to Marrakech and arriving by evening.

These are the main highlights of the 2-day tour from Fes to Marrakech:
Departing from Fes, we journey towards Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and their lush cedar forests. This impressive mountain range stretches over 350 kilometers across Morocco.
Our route includes a visit to Ifrane, often called the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its unique Alpine-style architecture and status as an exclusive ski destination, and a stop in Azrou, a notable Berber town known for its charm and traditions.
We continue through the Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorges, passing through towns like Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, we follow a desert road leading us to Merzouga.
At dusk, enjoy a memorable camel trek to a desert camp nestled among the dunes. After a traditional dinner, spend the night under the starry sky in this serene setting.
Start your day with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After this awe-inspiring moment, ride your camel back to a nearby hotel where you can freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast to fuel the rest of the journey.
Traveling onward, you will pass through the Palmeral of Tafilalet and the historic town of Rissani, known as the birthplace of the Moroccan royal family. Continue through Alnif and cross the dramatic landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, discovering the Berber villages of Tazarine and N’kob.
Visit the verdant Draa Valley, famed for its extensive date palm groves, and traverse the Tizi N’Tnifift mountain pass. Arrive in Ouarzazate for a lunch break before heading to the renowned Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an iconic kasbah.
Depending on the season, enjoy a visit or a quick stop at the kasbah before embarking on the final stretch to Marrakech. Arrive at your accommodation around 7:00 PM, marking the end of this unforgettable adventure.
