Itinerary

Day 1 - Marrakech to Todra Gorge via Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate

Begin your journey early from Marrakech, setting out towards the breathtaking Todra Gorge. Traverse the High Atlas Mountains, where panoramic views and picturesque landscapes unfold. En route, discover the historic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a famed filming location for iconic movies like “Gladiator”. Explore Ouarzazate’s Cinema Studio Altas and the impressive Taourirt Kasbah. Your journey continues through the captivating Kasbah Amridil, the lush Skoura palm groves, and the fragrant Valley of Roses in Kelaat M’Gouna. Your day concludes at the serene Auberge le Festival in Todra Gorge, where you’ll indulge in an organic dinner, marvel at the stars, and rest in a unique cave room.

Day 2 - Todra Gorge to Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, embark on a leisurely hike through the lower reaches of Todra Gorge, revealing idyllic river valleys and traditional Berber villages. Visit the historic Ksar El Khorbat and the insightful Musee Lalla Mimouna in Tinejdad. Proceed to the majestic sand dunes of Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. In the evening, enjoy a camel trek to an oasis, capturing the magical Sahara sunset. Spend the night at Madu Luxury Desert Camp, where you’ll dine under the stars, listen to Berber music, and gaze upon the celestial sky.

Day 3 - Merzouga to Fes via Erfoud, Midelt, Azrou, and Ifrane

Rise early to witness the stunning Sahara sunrise and enjoy breakfast in the desert camp. Depart Merzouga for Fes, the spiritual heart of Morocco. Along the way, stop in Erfoud to explore the Museum of Fossils and Minerals. After a lunch break in Midelt, your journey takes you to Azrou’s enchanting monkey forest and Ifrane, affectionately known as “Little Switzerland”, where you can see the famous stone lion. The day ends with your arrival in Fes, where you’ll settle into your Riad/Hotel for a relaxing evening.
